Usage and dosage:
The dose of the PT141 peptide may vary according to the individual needs of the patient. Normally, the initial dose is 400 mcg to 700 mcg of PT 141. Expected effect from 1 to 6 hours.
Administration schedule:
First schedule: 8 subcutaneous units up to 7 hours before sexual contact preferably at night and another 5 units in the morning. Expected effect: in the following 30 hours. Second schedule: 10-12 units several hours before sexual contact.
Additional usage instructions:
Inject subcutaneously into the abdominal area or the front part of the thigh. After injecting the product, wait 10 seconds before removing the needle. It is recommended to rotate the injection site.
A pen contains 200 units per 50 micrograms.
Examples of calculated units from the PT-141 pen (10mg) corresponding to micrograms:
- 1 unit = 50mcg
- 5 units = 250mcg
- 10 units = 500mcg
- 12 units = 600mcg
- 15 units = 750mcg
Possible side effects:
Mild headaches, nausea, skin redness, or increased blood pressure—usually temporary.
